Bigger and Better?

I made some recent changes to my blog and I’ve gotten some mixed feedback, so I thought I’d do a little poll to see what everyone thought! I’ve made the pictures much bigger, which I love, but some people have computer screens that are too big or too small. So here they are…

Smaller…

And bigger…

What do you think? I picked these pics at random from a recent shoot that I haven’t even looked through yet, but I wanted a vertical and horizontal shot. Thanks!

I’m not having the issue with the pictures being pixelated, but I am on the fence about picture size. On my laptop I have to scroll to see that larger images and that kind of ruins the overall effect, but at work I can see them fine and think the larger size is great. Maybe you should just buy me a bigger laptop?

I guess I just love looking at them closer I never realized I had to scroll down to see the rest of the vertical shots, so maybe a hair smaller? If not, I still don’t mind scrolling :o)

Thanks for your comments everyone! That’s strange about the pixelation of the vertical shot. Do all the vertical shots on this page look pixelated? From past posts too? I’m having someone look into it. I’d love it if everyone else left comments too. I love to hear from the newbies!

It’s soo hard to decide, isn’t it?! Along with my nice computer, I have an older notebook and the resolution is so awful, so the big pics are tough to see! But it’s so nice to see it up close, the big pics really show so much more detail, it’s so worth it! I crop mine to 400×600 pixels, then sharpen. I think it’s a good happy medium, maybe?

With my computer screen the small pictures look better–when they are big I have to scroll. Also, that 3rd image was pixelated for me too.

    Great shots of Isabella by-the-way!

First of all, I’m new here and I love your work! I actually like the smaller pics because then I can see the full effect without having to scroll – but either way, they are amazing.

I am thinking the same as Jenna. When I click on the third image, it opens in a window the same size as it was BUT the pixelation (I made up that word) disappears and the image is clean. Can you make it large AND smooth?

  8. Jenna says:

The resolution on the third image is a little blurry for me. Is it just my screen at work? I like the bigger images, but not if they will be pixelated!
