Cameron Kate

Isn’t her name darling?  I was so excited to get an email from this little one’s mama as this was my first newborn in Houston!  She’s the first baby to this lovely couple and, if I remember correctly, she’s also the first grandchild!  So many people must love this little girl already.  When we first started she was wide awake, but before long she fell into a deep sleep and performed wonderfully for us.

Why are baby toes so delicious??  I just love them.

Love her little baby faux-hawk.

Mom tickled her cheek here to get that little grin :).

At the end of the shoot she woke up and all of her faces cracked me up!

The J Family

I photographed this beautiful family when I visited North Carolina last year and I was lucky enough to do it again this year!  The whole shoot was a breeze and it was so much fun!  We wandered around downtown Wilmington and discovered some really great spots.  I LOVE the way their outfits all came together.  The girls had such cute outfits that matched some of our locations perfectly!  Little miss “S” here was a perfect model the entire time.

Despite the general aversion most people have toward clowns, I think this next shot went better than expected.  This comedic fellow jumped into one of our pictures, though I only got two shots before “S” decided this was much too close for comfort!  After sufficiently frightening the children, he pulled a peanut out of my ear and made a blonde joke.

“R” is such a great big sister!

These girls love their daddy!

This may have been my favorite part :).  We stopped for hot cocoa (and a cinnamon bun for the girls) and I placed them next to the window for some lovely window-light.  They didn’t even notice me.

This shot with the whipped cream makes me want some right now!

A little clothing change and some sugar in them and then the magic happens!

We got a lot of dancing, giggles, and all-around-craziness.  It was perfect.

Sugarrrr!

Thanks for the fun day!

Baby Ambree

One of my roommates from BYU had a beautiful baby girl in December and I was able to photograph her while I was in Utah for Christmas.  They moved into a new house on Christmas, so the lack of furniture in the kitchen created a perfect little “studio” for our shoot.  When I was pulling out different blankets and hats and things Marilee said, “This is like playing dress-up!”  Yep, my job is so much fun it’s like playing dress-up!  I love it and I love photographing newborns!  Ambree was such an angel!

Whitney’s Maternity Pictures!

Whitney is another amazing friend from the photography program (in addition to all my photo friends having babies, 3 of my freshmen roommates are pregnant).  She recently had her little girl and I’m finally getting around to posting some of these pictures!  I was in Utah for a wedding and it was perfect timing so we could do this shoot!  Whitney chose the location, which I loved, and she stuck with it even though it was freezing.  We did very few pictures in short-sleeves before she changed into something warmer!

Her husband was able to meet us and we got some adorable pics of them together :).  As a photographer I don’t think she gets many!
