Sean and Nat are two of my closest friends, which means that this was quite possibly my favorite engagement session ever.  Not only do I love the images, but the people in them are just so dear to my heart.  I'm so glad we did this!  This first image is a definite favorite of mine.

I've known Marc as long as I've lived in Houston and I've joked at times that we were practically roommates.  It's been quite fun for me to see these two progress through their relationship and I remember many of the little steps in the beginning (you know, when she'd sit really close to him at a party and people would ask me if they were dating before they actually were and when I was apparently still clueless about it).

This was probably the most fun photo shoot I've ever been on, with more laughing than ever!  Don't be afraid to be goofy, people!

I'm so happy you two are happy.  Congratulations!!

I've known Mitch since he was in middle school and I actually photographed him here a couple of years ago!  I'm so happy that he and Val found each other.  They are so adorable together!!

See those snow-covered mountains?  Yeah, this was in Utah in March...and it was FREEZING.  See how Val held up?  Doesn't she look gorgeous and not-freezing in every picture?  Yeah, she was a real trooper.

Carla & Hector are getting married in her home country of Nicaragua, but I was lucky enough to get to do their engagements! I loved everything about this session. How gorgeous are they??

Ryan and Ann are friends from church who got this session from a service auction we did.  I'm so glad because we had so much fun!  If you're any of our friends you should recognize this first shot as it's a nearby movie theater many of us frequent!  I've been dying to photograph here since I moved to Houston and I was so excited when they chose this location!  There are so many fun colors.

It only took a few tries, and even Ryan was impressed that he could jump like this!

They're such good jumpers.

I've known Jeff as long as I've lived in Houston!  He was one of the first people I met and I'm so happy he and Hayley found each other.  I get to go to Utah to photograph their wedding in March and I can't wait!

One more that I discovered while editing their session.  LOVE this!

Shelly and I met at church, but only because she used to live in Dallas and was friends with my friend Jenna!  Jenna gets to shoot her wedding in Dallas in a few months (which sounds amazing) and I can't wait to see it!  Shelly and Steven were so fun and happy during the session and I think we all really enjoyed spending the afternoon together .

I love this next series!  She brought some really fun props to use.

When I got out of the car and met J & C I apologized for being such a shorty.  They both towered over me by at least a foot!

Um, yes, they were fun.

We walked down the street to a new spot and they started a rousing game of "I'm not touching you" (anyone who's spent anytime in a backseat with their siblings should know this one well).

But then they decided they were okay with getting close for a while.

We soon moved onto more mature things, such as slug-bug (according to Koree - I grew up in the south and played it by a different name).

What's a girl to do when she's a full 12-16 inches shorter than her clients?  She gets on her boyfriend's shoulders of course.

They were pretty happy most of the time, but towards the end of the shoot their pouting rivaled most 2-year-olds .

I had bumped up our shoot just a bit in fear of the storm clouds headed our way, and it turned out to be a good choice!  We were headed back to the car when I asked them to sit down for one last shot.  This is the last shot I pulled off before I heard, "RAIN!!!"

They took cover under a tree.  We took cover under a porch across the street.

The wedding will be here in one short month!  Maybe I should bring a step-stool.

Koree and I drove to Austin to photograph Eric and Lauren's engagement session and they're actually getting married in St. George, Utah this Saturday!  Eric was a freshman trying to get into the photography program when I was a senior at BYU and he became my little brother of sorts .  I love this guy!  It was great to meet Lauren, isn't she gorgeous?!?
