I love photographing in new spots and this one also happened to be where this amazing couple got engaged!  I loved using the trees to create depth.  For those who don't know Houston, this spot is only a few minutes away from downtown!

They aren't finding out the gender of the baby until birth and I'm so excited!  I love it when people do that.

Ali is so sweet and gave me a lot of good tips for my trip to Bali.  They were really useful!

Sean and Nat are two of my closest friends, which means that this was quite possibly my favorite engagement session ever.  Not only do I love the images, but the people in them are just so dear to my heart.  I'm so glad we did this!  This first image is a definite favorite of mine.

This is one of my favorite families!  I love getting together with these guys and watching C grow!  This was the 5th time I've photographed them and it just gets easier and easier.  C has always been a looker, but he seems to get more and more handsome every time I see him.

Happy Birthday little buddy!

I photographed L when she was much younger and now she's walking all over the place and trying to be as independent as she can!  We started off in her room and I love the way light pink walls reflect light into little faces.  Beautiful

We called these her "jazz hands" which is how she held them every time she walked around.  So cute!

Max isn't a newborn anymore, but his was one of the many this last summer that never got blogged.  When I realized that I couldn't resist showing off a few of my favorites!  He was such a sweet, adorable newborn, and nothing has changed now that he's all grown up and five months old.

Here he is now!  Isn't he the cutest thing?!  That little bow-tie...and that hat...boy is going to have to fight off the ladies when he's older.

N, if you get ever get tired of his cuteness I'll take him!

You may remember this family from Kelly's maternity session, and Sloan's newborn and 9 month session.  It was such a blast to get together with them all!

Sloan is such a sweetie and sure loves his mama!

These next three are hilarious. This kid changed his expression so quickly over just a few seconds.  The first is my favorite!

Jenny and Danny picked a great location and then we all fought off mosquitoes like crazy.  They said a swarm of them just kept following me!  I'm amazed there's still a place in Houston with this much green after the drought this summer.

I have one thing to say here - that baby is going to be dang cute.

I've known Marc as long as I've lived in Houston and I've joked at times that we were practically roommates.  It's been quite fun for me to see these two progress through their relationship and I remember many of the little steps in the beginning (you know, when she'd sit really close to him at a party and people would ask me if they were dating before they actually were and when I was apparently still clueless about it).

This was probably the most fun photo shoot I've ever been on, with more laughing than ever!  Don't be afraid to be goofy, people!

I'm so happy you two are happy.  Congratulations!!

You can see K's newborn pictures here from last June.  I can't believe how big she is now!  Her family has this great park right by their house so we started bright and early before the sun even came all the way up.  I love this bridge.

I can't imagine being pregnant in this crazy Houston heat, but Marina pushed through the maternity session and still managed to look gorgeous!  I'll admit, it was among the hottest sessions this year.

Then, not too much later (and a couple of weeks early!) Vivian made her debut.  Marina still managed to look beautiful just days after giving birth!

Vivian was just darling.  I love that little pucker!

I've been getting tons of newborn smiles from swaddled babies lately!  Swaddling must make them happy.
