I shoot with a Canon 5D Mark IV and have a 5DMKIII and 5DMKII for backup. Lenses I own: 16-35mm 2.8, 35mm 1.4, 50mm 1.2, 85mm 1.2, 100mm 2.8, 135 2.0. It was love at first develop (which is ironic since I haven’t been in a darkroom for over 10 (!!) years now). I took classes in high school and went on to study it in college as well and earned a BFA in Photography.<\/p>\n Absolutely! Getting back-up gear is essential. Back-up batteries (I have more than I could ever use) for my camera and flash are just as important. I keep several spare memory cards in my camera bag at all times. <\/p>\n I went to Brigham Young University and got a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography. I know many incredible photographers that didn’t go to school at all and are largely self-taught or learned through workshops and videos. I don’t believe a university education is necessary to be a successful photographer, but I’m grateful for my education and friends from my program. <\/p>\n I use Lightroom for all batch-processing and Photoshop for fine-tune editing. Everything that gets blogged or printed has likely been through both programs.<\/p>\n Sure is!
