Baby K

Photographing K was such a joy.  She was such a sweet little girl with beautiful parents!  Doesn’t her dad look so much like Denzel Washington?  I think it’s the eyes and the smile.

She gave us some sweet little grins that I just adore.

Isn’t K stunning?

We tried a certain shot in dad’s hand and she just posed herself all over the place, it was so funny!  I think this is sweeter than what I tried anyway :).

Baby K

K lives in a beautiful home with lots of beautiful light!  I was so excited for her to get here.  Her mama was just as excited as me and picked out lots of beautiful things to photograph K with/in.  Congratulations on your little lady!

I could hardly believe this giant smile we got!

Baby A

Baby A was such a great little guy for me!  Just look at this smile!

Such a beautiful boy.

A’s mom used to work with my mom and I photographed her engagements way back in 2008!  It was so wonderful to meet the boy that came from this union :).

Cunningham Family

These two sisters were as cute as can be!  I always love it when I meet new little sisters as I really love having so many myself (especially lately as my twin sister’s baby has taken to calling me mama!).  I was blown away by miss C’s gorgeous eyes.

And who can resist baby hands?

Mom bought this hat for L and I loved how it looked with the purple (and the darling baby of course)!

Lyla

I’m working on a “Tips for shooting newborns” post with lots of pictures of this pretty little lady, but I couldn’t hold off from posting at least a few any longer!  This is my newest niece, Lyla.

4 days new.

6 days.

9 days.

She looks perfect, right?  If only we had known that after about 5 days this little missy would get her nights and days all worked out and liked to stay awake during the day.  She was one of my hardest newborns ever.   I took the girl out at sunrise near the end of my trip (below) in hopes that she’d stay asleep for me.  Little did we know that this was her happy time!  When she started giving me these giant smiles I could hardly believe it.  She did this every five minutes like clockwork for about 30 minutes.

Lyla at 10 days.

Oh, and Happy Birthday to my Gramma!  Hope you enjoyed these pictures of your 11th great-grandchild!
