Moving to San Diego!

That’s right. I’m headed down to San Diego on Saturday for a three month internship! I’m really excited to get down there and relax, um, I mean get to work. I’ll only be ‘working’ 2 days a week, which gives me 4 days to exclusively work on my business. I’m really excited for the time and to not be living out of a suitcase! (I’m coming up on 6 months straight of doing that!)

SO here’s the deal. I really want to get my name out so I would uber appreciate any SoCal referrals you wonderful people can give me. Any client who refers me to someone in the area that books a shoot (San Diego, LA, etc) gets a FREE 8×10 of any past or future shoot of yours.

Also, I’ll be giving away one FREE shoot to a lucky San Diego resident. All you have to do is email me at kelli@kellinicolephoto.com! That’s it. First person who sends an email gets it. You’ll get the session fee waved for a shoot worth $150 or less. That means newborns, families, children, seniors, engagements, etc. The only catch is that the shoot has to be completed on or before July 5th (a newborn would be an exception if it was born after July 5th). Update: We have a winner. Thanks!

ONE last thing. I’m still working on my BFA final project, so if you’re a woman in the San Diego area who has a baby under a year, you could possibly get a free shoot with your baby! I’m taking limited assignments as my project is almost complete, so call now for details!

Thanks everyone!

Run for the doorways!

I think earthquakes are so cool. The 3.0 wake you from sleep rattle the walls type earthquakes, not the 10.0 knock your building over and kill all your friends kind. I know I’m totally a nerd, but I just felt a 3.0 and I’m so excited I’m blogging about it. Here I was, taking a power nap on the living room floor (1:51 am) next to my computer when I awoke to the walls rattling and the ground shaking.

Then, I felt another one! The second was stronger, a 3.5 (as opposed to the 3.0 several minutes earlier).

So I, of course, went immediately to this website to report it (and make sure I wasn’t crazy).

Anyone else in the area feel it?

The view from my (mom’s) apartment at home in California (I took this in January). Sometimes I miss it.

Bike in a tree!

I headed over to Vashon Island in Washington today with a friend and little did I know I’d get to behold the beauty of this bike. If you have ever read the children’s book “Red Ranger Came Calling” you should recognize this bike! I was so excited when I saw this on the map and when I found out this is the bike in the book. We read it as a family every year at Christmas. Enjoy 🙂
