Jeff & Katie

I’m out of town right now so I’ll be posting just a few pictures of some recent clients so they don’t go too crazy during the wait :).

Jeff and Katie’s wedding was gorgeous and so were they!  Photographers, these were all shot with my new favorite toy, the 35 1.4 :).

Jeff said the South Carolina family would like this next shot!

See how fun and adorable they are?  Yeah, I like them too.

Hope you’re having fun (had fun?) on your honeymoon in Jamaica!!!

Craig & Jackie’s Wedding!

If you remember their engagements you’ll remember that Craig and his family are favorites :).  Friends since Craig’s 14th birthday, and they’ve done so much for me over the years!  Hopefully I’ll be around when a few more of the 5 kids get married (Craig’s the oldest).

I flew into Utah a few days before the wedding (which was in October, yes I’m way behind on blogging), but my second-shooter didn’t fly in until the night before.  Due to crazy weather he got stranded in Denver (not fun, we don’t have good luck there).  The next morning was a mad rush to the airport, getting the rental car, and then driving the several hours to Manti!  We got there just a few minutes before they got out of the temple.  It was a cold day in Manti!

First public kiss!

Yes, I’m hardcore in my Gap kid’s beanie and shootsac.  When I’m shooting I strangely don’t even feel the cold!  That is, until my fingers go numb and I can’t find the shutter button :).

And then Craig decided to join me.  Jackie stayed under the warmth of a blanket between shots :).

Favorite!

I’m pretty sure Jackie made both of these cakes, can you believe that?!  So if you’re in Utah and need a cake made…

Congratulations!  Can’t wait to see you all again!

Matt & Sarah’s Wedding!

I got to go ‘home’ (San Francisco bay) for Matt and Sarah’s wedding!  It was surprisingly cold that weekend, but they were troopers and they look so happy you’d never know it.  This post is very bride/groom portrait heavy, but I loved them so much I couldn’t cut anymore out.  The day started off super early!

Married!  Surrounded by so many friends.

They got married at the Oakland LDS Temple.  This is one of my favorite temples to shoot because there is always good light, no matter what time of day!

Their backyard reception was gorgeous.  The house they had it at was amazing and they had a ring ceremony underneath a willow tree in the back.  Loved everything about this place!

Editing these pictures made me soooo hungry.

Sarah used to work for a photographer in Montana and he and his wife came all the way out  for the wedding!

Emily+Andrew Married!

This was such a fun wedding for me.  I had THREE of my brides there!  The first time I met Emily and Andrew was at Emily’s best friend’s wedding last year in Washington.  Emily and Andrew BOTH caught the bouquet/garter and I think you can see from this image below that she was pretty excited about it :).

They got engaged not too long after that and I was so excited when she contacted me to shoot her wedding!  It turned out so unbelievably beautiful.  The details are all amazing!  I had a really hard time narrowing down all the detail shots for the blog :).

LOVE these shoes.  Love them.

The flowers, oh the FLOWERS.  I could do an entire post on just the flowers, but these will have to suffice.

Emily was so excited to email me a few weeks before the wedding to tell me she convinced Andrew to do a first look (which is when the bride and groom see each other prior to the ceremony and I photograph the meeting with just the 3 of us and then we take some portraits).  I am SOOOOO glad we did it, as it started raining during the (indoor) ceremony and we wouldn’t have gotten any outdoor shots otherwise!  We also did most of the bridal party portraits before the ceremony.  So what do you think, worth it??

In case you didn’t notice, Andrew is TALL.  Even with those awesome purple heels on :).

Married!

Bride and Groom #1

Bride and Groom #2 (and Emily’s sister)

And all three couples with me!

Emily also has a rockin’ blog that you should check out!  She keeps posting so many cool diy projects and fun wedding ideas.  Congratulations and Merry Christmas Eve!
