The H family first hired me back in November to do a lifestyle session and I’ve been meaning to blog their pictures ever since! Â I loved their session and recently did another for them before they made a big move to another country.
I showed up early at their house just in time for them to get the kiddo out of bed. Â He was a little wary of this stranger in his house at first! Â I had such a great time documenting their morning. Â Lifestyle photography is one of my favorite types of sessions!
One of the most meaningful and beautiful things I’ve done in my career has been photographing the birth of a child. Â It is something that has always fascinated and intrigued me. Â Being witness to a couple become 3 or a family become 4 has to be one of the most sacred things I’ve ever experienced. Â It was such an honor to watch Camden join the world and I hope I can express some of those feelings through these photographs. Â I thought I wasn’t going to be allowed in the OR until about 10 minutes before surgery and when I found out I was practically jumping with joy. Â The nurses and doctors were so incredible and supportive and seemed really focused on making it a good experience for everyone involved. Â I’m so grateful Camden’s parents’ trusted me with capturing this moment. Â Thank you!
Miles is the proud big brother and when I first arrived his grandmas took him down to the gift shop to pick out a present for baby sister. Â Miles was one of the first newborns I photographed in Houston three years ago!
On our way back upstairs is when I found out I was allowed in the OR. Â I threw on my flattering paper scrubs and got ready.
They let me have free reign of the room and it was absolutely fascinating.
Then she was here.
When I was editing and got to this next image? Â Instant tears. Â You are both so beautiful.

I photographed the Foley family back in November and I don’t think I’ve ever seen two parents who were more involved with their baby. Â They were awesome! Â They did whatever they could think of to make their little guy smile, including making a plethora of strange noises and making him “dance” gangnam style (and it worked! haha). Â It was such a pleasure to see their little family in action.
Abram was one of my wonderful newborns from 2012! Â He took his first modeling gig seriously and he really did a great job. Â What a beautiful boy he is!
Happy 2013! Â It’s been an incredible year with many wonderful experiences and many challenges, like most of you, I’m sure! Â The last few months have been a bit of a whirlwind of near constant work so I’ll be showing off many of my 2012 clients on the blog in the next few months! Â There are so many beautiful families I’ve been blessed to work with and I’m excited to showcase them here.
