Rumisha

This may have been one of my favorite newborn sessions of 2012.  Rumi blew me away with how perfect he was, whether awake or sleeping!  I may have a slight obsession.

I love this shot. So much.

My goodness.  I love every shot so much.

Also loving this shot.

I don’t think he could look any sweeter than he does right here.

Rumisha, thanks for bringing your parents in and being such an amazing little guy!  I think your parents will agree that you were worth the wait.  Hope to see you when you’re bigger!

Madison

This beautiful baby girl and her darling big brother were such a joy to photograph!   October has been the craziest month of the year, but I’m hoping to get some new blog posts up soon!

If you want to see examples of my recent work, you can check out my facebook page here.

What a beautiful little lady!  I just love these little newborn smiles.

D Family – Lifestyle Session

April is one of my favorite friends, though the last time I saw her she was pregnant with her first child!  Her maternity session remains one of my favorites.  It was so much fun to see her and her husband (Hi, Dave!) again and meet their two adorable boys.

L started off his morning with some cartoons.  Who doesn’t enjoy a good zoning-out every once in a while??

I really love these next two images :).

It also happened to be this little guy’s first birthday!  He was obviously far more interested in me than his breakfast.

Playing in curtains will never get old, little buddy.  Don’t let anyone tell you it will!  Funny side-note, L and I were playing together and hid in these curtains for a good 10 or so minutes before April realized that we were being really quiet and came looking for us.  She couldn’t believe he stayed so quiet and hidden for so long!

R wanted to do everything his big bro did!  I adore him.

The night before the session April started spray-painting a wall in their house with this blackboard paint…only to discover that it was also coating the entire living room with a fine mist of (we’re certain) cancer-causing black dust.  Only one can got used up, just enough for individual portraits, but we both think it was totally worth it.

And then we were off to the Getty!

We got R a cupcake for his first birthday and he attacked that thing with the ferocity of a velociraptor.  As you can see.

That was a Sprinkles cupcake, kiddo.  It’s all downhill from here.

I think L equally enjoyed his ice cream.

This is one of my favorites.  Love this kid!

We also made a little trip to the beach.

I don’t know how he got so sandy so quickly, but I kind of love it.

Another favorite!

I can’t wait until my next trip out to see you guys!  Hopefully we won’t wait another 4 years :).  Love you!!

Jack and Alex turn 1!

These adorable twins turned 1 recently and I got to photograph their party!  They had a Hungry Caterpillar theme and it turned out so cute!

I was photographing these decorations and didn’t realize this was a giant caterpillar until I photographed it from this angle.  LOVE it!

I LOVED the cakes.  They did an amazing job!

Mama and her boy!

The place was packed with friends, including this little ones holding onto her mom’s legs.  I love this.

Jack was the little social butterfly and he sure loved the ladies!  At one point he kept staring intensely at this little girl and moving his face closer and closer to hers.

Mama and her girl :).

These kids have the goofiest dad I’ve ever met.  How lucky they are to have someone so fun in their lives :).

Van Brunt Family

The first time I photographed the Van Brunt family L was just a newborn!  It was so fun to see her again and see how she’s grown.  I get to photograph her 1st birthday next month and I’m so excited!

I just love the colors in her nursery.  The blues look so great with her eyes!

She is such a sweet and expressive baby!

I just love this shot.  What a beautiful family.

Can’t wait to see you all again!
