W Family

K is a very talented photographer down in League City and wanted to get together to do a lifestyle shoot with her cute family!  Here are just a few.

For some reason, I really love this first one.  G got some air!

This one cracks me up.  They were trying to get J to sit with the family, but he wanted nothing to do with them (for about a minute).  Ah, the middle child.

I LOVE this one too!  The way A and G turned around to look at me is just so precious.

I love it when people bring fun, colorful props and my stools matched their colors perfectly!

Kendra & Hadley – Minneapolis

It’s official, I LOVE Minneapolis!  I have more pictures to post from my trip, but first I did this photo shoot with this cute girl and her mama, who drove down from North Dakota!  Kendra (along with some friends) runs a photography business in Fargo and I’m so flattered that she made the drive down to do some pictures!  Of course, she did get to see her sisters while she was there as well (and they helped choose the location, thanks!).  During my time with them I found out that Kendra has 3 sisters and 1 brother.  So, in order – 2 girls, then a boy, then identical twin girls.  That is MY family!  So funny.

Kendra’s sisters gave us a general location for a shoot, basically a cool area of Minneapolis, and I searched for it on google maps and then did street view.  I instantly found this amazing multi-colored wall.  I may have to make another trip in the summer just to discover more spots like this!

I think this first one of Hadley looks so sweet.  You can see the snow that was falling on us!

Isn’t it awesome?!  I want one.  Some building owner in Houston please do this.

Kendra managed to get this 12-month pettiskirt on Hadley’s 2-yr-old body (thank you elastic).  Doesn’t it make you want to go buy one for your little girl??  I love her shoes and the gray shirt!

Drove to another spot that I happened to spot during the drive.  Good thing I wore my rain boots as the snow was very deep and I was in the midst of it!  I tried to clear a spot for the two, but Hadley kept complaining about her feet being cold if she was set down.  So strange…:)

I did these all in the airport or on the plane today!  There are tons more, but I couldn’t wait to get a few up :).

When I was in California in October (I know, this is a long time coming), I was buying some jewelry from Leisa (check it out here, I LOVE her stuff) and she asked if I did trades.  Absolutely I do!  I got to get way more jewelry than I was planning on 🙂 and she got a photo shoot of her adorable family.  It happened to be a really rainy week and we had to cancel on the day we planned for, but last minute Leisa was able to pull together everything for the shoot on another day.  Her husband was at work and happened to be wearing that shirt (which has orange stripes) so she planned their outfits around it and I can’t believe how cute it turned out (well, I can, since she is so darn crafty).

They ordered this one for their home, I know it will look awesome!

I think this one is soooo darling.  I LOVE pictures of my older siblings holding me when I was a baby (though unless my name is written on the back it becomes a guessing game of which twin is it).

This little guy was right around 6 months and couldn’t be happier!

Chances are, if you ever see me wearing jewelry, it came from her.  Thanks again!

The J Family

I photographed this beautiful family when I visited North Carolina last year and I was lucky enough to do it again this year!  The whole shoot was a breeze and it was so much fun!  We wandered around downtown Wilmington and discovered some really great spots.  I LOVE the way their outfits all came together.  The girls had such cute outfits that matched some of our locations perfectly!  Little miss “S” here was a perfect model the entire time.

Despite the general aversion most people have toward clowns, I think this next shot went better than expected.  This comedic fellow jumped into one of our pictures, though I only got two shots before “S” decided this was much too close for comfort!  After sufficiently frightening the children, he pulled a peanut out of my ear and made a blonde joke.

“R” is such a great big sister!

These girls love their daddy!

This may have been my favorite part :).  We stopped for hot cocoa (and a cinnamon bun for the girls) and I placed them next to the window for some lovely window-light.  They didn’t even notice me.

This shot with the whipped cream makes me want some right now!

A little clothing change and some sugar in them and then the magic happens!

We got a lot of dancing, giggles, and all-around-craziness.  It was perfect.

Sugarrrr!

Thanks for the fun day!
