J&C’s Engagements

When I got out of the car and met J & C I apologized for being such a shorty.  They both towered over me by at least a foot!

Um, yes, they were fun.

We walked down the street to a new spot and they started a rousing game of “I’m not touching you” (anyone who’s spent anytime in a backseat with their siblings should know this one well).

But then they decided they were okay with getting close for a while.

We soon moved onto more mature things, such as slug-bug (according to Koree – I grew up in the south and played it by a different name).

Koree’s view:

My view:

What’s a girl to do when she’s a full 12-16 inches shorter than her clients?  She gets on her boyfriend’s shoulders of course.

They were pretty happy most of the time, but towards the end of the shoot their pouting rivaled most 2-year-olds :).

I had bumped up our shoot just a bit in fear of the storm clouds headed our way, and it turned out to be a good choice!  We were headed back to the car when I asked them to sit down for one last shot.  This is the last shot I pulled off before I heard, “RAIN!!!”

They took cover under a tree.  We took cover under a porch across the street.

The wedding will be here in one short month!  Maybe I should bring a step-stool.

Kelly’s Maternity Shoot

Kelly is such a stunning pregnant mama!  With my 5’2″ frame there’s no way I’ll look this good carrying a baby :).  We shot at 34 weeks and happened to choose a hot and humid day in Houston (oh wait, they’re ALL hot and humid).  We had to take quite a few breaks, but we got some beautiful shots.

Her charming 5-yr-old (and husband) came and I snagged this last shot of Aidan right before we left.  Little boys totally crack me up.

W Family

K is a very talented photographer down in League City and wanted to get together to do a lifestyle shoot with her cute family!  Here are just a few.

For some reason, I really love this first one.  G got some air!

This one cracks me up.  They were trying to get J to sit with the family, but he wanted nothing to do with them (for about a minute).  Ah, the middle child.

I LOVE this one too!  The way A and G turned around to look at me is just so precious.

I love it when people bring fun, colorful props and my stools matched their colors perfectly!

Jeff & Katie

I’m out of town right now so I’ll be posting just a few pictures of some recent clients so they don’t go too crazy during the wait :).

Jeff and Katie’s wedding was gorgeous and so were they!  Photographers, these were all shot with my new favorite toy, the 35 1.4 :).

Jeff said the South Carolina family would like this next shot!

See how fun and adorable they are?  Yeah, I like them too.

Hope you’re having fun (had fun?) on your honeymoon in Jamaica!!!

Shannon and Mike

Shannon and I agreed that it would be really fun to do her maternity pictures at the Kemah boardwalk, especially since she lived only minutes away!  We all got up super early and met there before any crowds could get in our way.  As we were walking around chatting I asked about her induction date and she told me it was the next day!  Her doc had originally wanted to do it the day of the shoot, but she managed to convince him to wait one more day :).  So this is officially the closest to a baby’s birthday that I’ve done a maternity shoot!

Pretty sure this next shot is my favorite.  I love her purple nails!

The colors on the boardwalk are so fun and bright!  I’d love to do a shoot there when we can actually get on the rides :).

This is another favorite!  We were walking to the car and I asked for one last shot.  Luckily, laying in the middle of the road isn’t as dangerous so early in the morning.

Baby Jaxson arrived about two full days later and I can’t wait to show you some of his pictures.  He’s absolutely perfect.
