Josh and India

I got a call from Josh one Saturday morning hoping to schedule an engagement session with his fiance…that day!  They’re doing the long distance thing and she was only in town for the weekend.  All the crazy downpours we were getting canceled another shoot they had scheduled the day before.  The forecast jumped from a 10% chance of rain to 60% in a matter of hours, but we were able to meet up in the middle of the day and avoid getting rained on!

Don’t they look like the came out of a magazine?  I really get the best clients.

Josh went to Vanderbilt and is now working in Houston while India is in Atlanta.  Long distance sucks, but it looks like they’re handling it well!

India told me they swim, can you tell??  I would kill for those arms.

How cute are they?!  These next few are so sweet.

They wanted to get a shot by the skyline, but when we got to the location it was all blocked off!  After some quick thinking, we settled on doing the last few shots at this spot not too far away.

I love this next shot :).

Lastly…the ring.  Dang.

San Francisco bay area sessions!

I’ve had a lot of interest lately in sessions in the San Francisco bay area, so I’ve decided to plan a trip in August under some conditions.

1. I get at least 5 clients.

2. Each client pays a deposit ($50, required for all portrait sessions) and a travel fee of $50 up front (to see regular pricing, click here).

The dates for my trip will be August 13-20.  Contact me as soon as possible if you’re interested in a session as space is limited and if I don’t book enough spots I’ll be canceling the trip.

Because no blog post is complete without a picture, here are some shots of my 2 1/2-year-old niece taking a little nap 🙂 (from my recent trip to NC).

Happy Tuesday!

PS: If you live somewhere other than California you can always check my travel dates posted on the right side of my blog to see if I’ll be in your area! –>

A few of the Packer kids

It was really fun to meet this cute little family, and really great that they were just down the road from me!  It was a last-minute session right before I went out of town and I’m so glad I squeezed them in!

It took a little while for this little missy to warm up to me (as it always does), but we got the sweetest smiles out of her as long as mom stayed close :).  I love those giant blue blue eyes!

The big brother had to wake up from an unplanned nap for the shoot and he wasn’t happy about it!  We finally convinced him to come out and play with me and I was so excited to get him on this little tricycle.  I think he was pretty happy about it too!

New Little K

I was so excited to get an email from K’s mama (seen here, isn’t she beautiful?).  I walked into their new home for the shoot and got even more excited.  The light in this place was amazing!  It was perfect, and so is K.

She had the longest, darkest eyelashes I’ve ever seen on a newborn.  She’s going to LOVE those when she’s older!

Congratulations on your perfect little girl!

Hank

Hank was the oldest newborn I’ve ever photographed! The shoot took much longer than usual, but it was so worth it.  He had so many cute little rolls and some great smiles for me.

We took several pictures of him swaddled like this with different hats on, but as soon as we took the swaddle off he was not happy with us!

Isn’t this face perfect?  One of my favorites.

We managed to get him back to sleep and he was so good for us.  I love his fuzzy hair and little belly rolls!

A sweet little smile!

At the very end of the shoot I wanted to get a few more on the backgrounds his mama picked out and Hank gave us this little gem!
